Charlotte Burnett
Charlotte Burnett is pursuing her dual Masters degrees in Public Health and Social Work from the University of Michigan. She previously worked at the Program for Survivors of Torture at Bellevue Hospital in New York City, where she conducted intake forms to connect incoming refugees to medical, legal, and mental health services. She is interested in addressing health disparities, barriers to accessing care, and improving culturally competent care. She is also interested in how changes at the macro level, such as policy changes, can better support marginalized communities. She hopes her efforts will increase knowledge and understanding of the strengths and needs of refugee communities.
