Courtney Marsden
Courtney Marsden is a Master of Social Work candidate at the University of Michigan with a concentration in Global Social Work. Courtney has worked with undocumented immigrants in Central Arkansas providing children and youth programming for a local immigrant resource center. She is currently an intern at the International Institute of Metropolitan Detroit in their legal department providing services to those seeking refugee status, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival status, and Citizenship. She is interested in macro social work and policies that directly affect refugee communities. She hopes that her research can provide knowledge about refugee communities to better inform policy in the future.
