Jessy Perez
Jessy is an MSW candidate with a concentration in Community Change and a Community Based Initiative in Detroit Scholar at the University of Michigan. Jessy has professional experience working with community organizations that center their efforts on recent immigrants and LGBTQ identities. Jessy is currently researching the experiences of LGBTQ asylum seekers in relationship with resettlement and helping professionals. She plans to further her studies in research and evaluation skills to engage in evidence-based practice and policy analysis at the organizational level of social work practice.
