Justine D’Souza is a Master of Public Policy and Master of Social Work candidate specializing in public policy analysis, international economic development, and global social work. A fluent French speaker, she has worked in the fields of international education and crisis counseling, and she has also been involved with immigrant rights and domestic violence/sexual assault survivor advocacy. On campus, Justine serves on the Women and Gender in Public Policy, Asian Pacific Islander Social Worker Coalition, and Michigan Journal of Public Affairs executive boards. Her goals include rendering government activity transparent and accessible, supporting culturally tailored mental health initiatives, using comparative politics to design more inclusive institutions, and incorporating grassroots community perspectives into the policymaking process.
