Sura Shlebah
Sura Shlebah is driven by the recrimination of narratives which drives both her educational and professional endeavors. She holds a double Masters in Near Eastern Studies and Social Work. Currently, Sura is a practicing clinical social worker, engaged in work with refugees and migrants in metro-Detroit. Sura finds that participatory work is directly linked to the reclamation of narratives which is an act of persistence. It shows indirectly the spirit of continuity, the spirit of resistance that refugees have exhibited throughout, and symbolizes their persistence in spite of all adversity.
