Allison Kelly
Allison Kelly is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Social Work at the University of Michigan, following the Program Evaluation & Applied Research pathway concentration. She has a BS in Sociology and has previously worked at a refugee resettlement agency in West Michigan, where she provided direct service to newly arrived refugees and developed programs to assist with cultural adjustment. Her experiences in both academic research and nonprofit work have inspired her to study macro social work, where she hopes to learn how research can be utilized to improve service provision. Her research interests include socially just welfare policy, social stratification, and refugee community organizations. She is currently completing an MSW internship at the Human Trafficking and Social Justice Institute at the University of Toledo.
