Sophee Langerman is a dual Master’s candidate at the University of Michigan pursuing an MSW in Global Social Work Practice and an MS in Environmental Justice. Her intercultural work and study experiences in Palestine, Belize, and India have influenced her to pursue social work through different contextual lenses. Sophee is interested in the intersection of environmental justice and climate change, with immigration reform and refugee resettlement. She is currently working with the City of Detroit as a field intern, as well as creating a curriculum with the Decolonizing Pedagogies initiative. Sophee has aspirations of pursuing a Ph.D. in Anthropology in the future.
